Where can we find the treasures? We will create our own ancient treasure map! We will sail the sea and draw/ paint the sea. We will dive into the sea to discover a wrecked pirate ship surrounded by real and fantasy sea creatures (dolphins, mermaids, sharks, octopuses, sea horses and more), which we will draw, paint, or sculpt out of various materials. We will continue our journey and discoveries on the island. What kind of adventures can we expect over there? This camp is perfect for animal lovers. In this week-long drawing/painting/sculpting experience, young artists will explore the furry, feathered, scaly, or spiny animals native to Alabama and all over the globe. A variety of materials will be used.

This drawing workshop is designed for students who want to improve their drawing skills. We will focus on various drawing materials and techniques. We will explore composition, proportions, values, shading techniques, etc. We will work on honing your artistic skills while working from observation of still lives and using many references. In this drawing workshop, we will work with various media including graphite, charcoal, ink, conte, and more. Art Supplies are provided.

This week is dedicated to anime characters! Campers will start by learning the basic proportions of the face and the body using references. Can you imagine how you or your friends would look in anime style? Let’s draw and find out! Finally, campers will work on creating their own characters, their outfits, and environment.

This workshop will focus ONLY on your favorite things. Every day will be a different theme. Drawing, painting, or mixed media techniques and crafts will be included. Art supplies are provided but the participants must bring or text me an image of their favorite pet, person, place, etc. Day 1- My favorite pet! (Dog, cat, parrot, lizard, fish, etc.) Day2 - My favorite person! (Celebrity, member of your family, friend, etc.) Day 3 - My favorite place! (Beach, mountains, Disney World, etc.) Day 4 - My favorite food! (Ice-cream, cupcakes, donuts, etc.) Day 5 - My favorite… memory, book, musical instrument, movie, character, season of the year - your choice…

Do you have any favorite artists? Do you know artists like Monet, Picasso, Van Gogh, Dali, Rousseau, Hokusai, O'Keeffe, Pollock, Kandinsky, Matisse, Warhol, Kusama, and others? This week is dedicated to Famous Artists around the world! We will learn some fun art facts and create masterpieces inspired by various famous artists. From realism to surrealism, to cubism and abstract art! Different art techniques, styles, and media enrich participants' understanding of art.

Join us for a week of Fantasy World. In this world, we can find a lot of mysterious characters from literature, mythology, films, and games which have various magical abilities. In addition, some nonexistent technology and magical portals can be found in Fantasy World. During this week we will draw, paint, and create various fantasy characters and creatures with magical qualities and superpowers. Maybe we can come up with our own story and invent a Fantasy World inhabited by unicorns, dragons, superheroes, and other magical creatures. Let's unleash your creativity!
SESSION V-B (afternoon) – JULY 10 - JULY 14 (almost full) (we have children ages 8-13 y.o. for now) Experimental Art(NEW) ages 6 and up 1:30 pm -4:30 pm
Artists often use a variety of materials and techniques to create a different styles. Let’s see how some artists experiment! If you are open-minded and like to experiment, come to Experimental Art Camp. During this week we will explore, experiment and play with various art styles and materials. Have you ever tried to paint using coffee or stain your paper with tea? Have you ever used your fingers, sticks, feathers, or cotton swabs instead of a brush to create an artwork? You can try it! In addition, make paper from recycled paper, and build an art piece using wallpaper, cardboard, bark, wood, leaves, and more. Create 2-D art and 3-D artworks, collages, prints, paper mache, splatter art, weave, paint on fabric, etc. ____________________________________________
SESSION VI-A (morning)- JULY 17 - JULY 21 (we have children ages 7-11 y.o. for now) Designers Camp ages 6 and up 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
Have you ever dreamed of becoming a designer? A designer is a person who plans to bring an idea to life, starting from sketching an idea and later building a model. During this week, you will work on depicting various designs on paper inventing a toy, purse, hairstyle, house or treehouse, furniture, a car, spaceship, book or journal cover, and more. Then, we will try to build/make/sculpt/sew some of the ideas. This week will help boost creativity! Art and craft projects are included!
SESSION VI-B (afternoon) - JULY 17 - JULY 21 All My Favorites-2 6 y.o. and up (we have children ages 8 y.o. for now) 1:30 pm -4:30 pm
"All My Favorites" in June was full! This workshop was added to accommodate more people.

During this week we will "travel around the world", learning about different countries and cultures. Campers will produce masterpieces related to particular parts of the world, their architectural structures, famous landmarks, plants and animals that inhabit that place, and more. Do you have any favorite tourist destinations and attractions in the world you would like to learn about? Drawing, painting, mixed media, and crafting are included.
SESSION VII-B (afternoon) - JULY 24-28 (we have children ages 10-13 y.o. for now) Drawing/Painting Workshop Preteens, Teens and Adults 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm
This workshop is designed for students who want to improve their art skills. We will focus on various art materials and techniques. Drawing, Painting and Mixed Media Projects are included. We will work on step-by-step art projects or the projects of your choice. You can decide if you want to concentrate on Drawing or Painting OR to do both.
